Our example for daily living, especially in interaction with others, is Jesus Christ. Being sent by God, he had powers far beyond those of ordinary humans. Yet he came to serve, not to be served, symbolically represented by washing the feet of his disciples which was a task performed by the lowliest servant in the household. These are key members of our fellowship who lead through serving.
Preaching
Roger is a Child of God who is grateful to have been married to Teena for 42 years. They are blessed with four daughters and four grandchildren. He has started three churches during his forty years of ministry. Something of a cross between a science geek, history addict, storyteller, and artist, he is lucky to ever really get anything done. Among his many projects he is currently putting into writing stories that he used to make up for his children on family road trips.
Music
Jake leads our music team and enables us to worship and praise God through song. Our time in music helps to prepare our hearts to learn about God's Word - the Bible- and understand how it can transform our lives.
Jake lives in Salisbury VT and stays busy as a husband to Sarah and father of 2 young girls. In his free time he works as a financial advisor in Middlebury, VT. He has been strumming the guitar and playing on church music teams for many years. Someday he would love to find himself with time for fishing, camping, golfing and all those fun outdoor things!
Administrative Assistant
We are blessed to have the benefit of Sylvia's organizational gifts and common sense to guide us through the administrative tasks associated with ministry. She is a retiree of Middlebury College where she worked in Facilities Services administration and now co-owns and operates a campground in central Vermont. She is an avid reader, enjoys gardening and is currently renovating the home that she and her three pups occupy.
